A. J. Patrick Liszkiewicz is an instructor and student at SUNY Buffalo's Department of Media Study. His work has recently appeared in Diagram, Hobart, Word for/Word, and the Zaoem Festival of Contemporary Poetry. He can be found on the Web at http://www.acsu.buffalo.edu/~ajl23/.

Artist Statement: The fifteen poems in Count as One were inspired by the work of Alain Badiou and the tradition of modernist concrete poetry. Users can click inside each poem to reveal and author meaning, and can print, save, and publish their own unique output. These poems are constrained compositional spaces, and places to experiment and play with received linguistic units. In this way, I see Count as One as an analog for the process by which we access and define our worlds.
