Welcome to The New River, a journal of digital writing and art. Founded by Ed Falco (with help from Len Hatfiel)d in 1996, The New River was the first journal devoted exclusively to digital writing and art.
The New River plans to post new issues twice a year, in December and May, and is currently hosted by Virginia Tech's Center for Digital Discourse and Culture.
The New River has been selected by the Electronic Literature Organization for inclusion in the Library of Congress's Internet Archive Project. The Library of Congress will now provide a link to New River and periodically "crawl" our site to stay updated. The purpose of the project is to archive significant sites for future generations.
