Storytelling banner ads: Animated emotional lures (efferent)

Text Menu

Other popup ad-anchors tell an animated story to provide content and entice readers to find out more. The Right One [63](a matchmaking website), for example, gives an evocative little tale on Yahoo (March 11, 2004). A man and woman come in from the opposite edges of the screen, meet, think about kids and a family, and marry. The animation and bodies are deliberately primitive, embodying the slow bandwidths into the motif of love and fantasy.

And you too, can have a wonderful life if only you click on the anchor:

Like Diagrams Series 5 [57], these are odd cases of anchors. Technically, clicking on the anchor does trigger a link to other content, so these are anchors. However, they are animated anchors that provide node and anchor in one space.
