The Jew's Daughter is a stark example of the standard site: a single page of text with black words and a single "standard" blue text anchor. The words are all that draw the reader in to the starting question: Will she disappear? Mousing over this anchor does not produce a "hit color" but allows the word to fade into black as portions of the single page of text change. The change of words is instantaneous, far too fast for a reader to follow exactly what has been changed and what remains without a careful reading. As there is no back anchor, this single floating anchor leads the reader on into an ebb and flow of words and story:

Because the anchor word does not necessarily go away, but rather gives up its emphasis to become just another part of the page, the current anchor takes on more significance. A useful reading strategy seems to be searching for the anchor and reading around that area, then reading the whole screen, then triggering the anchor for the next change in the node.
