Thomas faced west embrasing the wind and the water...
and the lean rocky wilderness land of the quartzite mountain range.
It was their homeland, the land entrusted to them by their painter ancestors.
Soon the winds would come from the north and the water will freeze and the rain will turn to snow. They had not fished or hunted or prospected or set themselves up with reserves of felled fire wood but, they were not returning empty handed.
