Brave explorers

Bold navigators
There is lots of loose talk these days about the "browser wars," but well-disciplined Webmasters will keep it in perspective. What's wrong with a little internecine conflict among brave hearts and true? The American defense establishment has always thrived on interservice rivalries.

So the next time your pointyheaded boss starts complaining that Microsoft is undermining 100% Pure Java, or whining that Netscape has violated the HTML 4 spec again, just remind him that you have to play tough to stay tough. (Go ahead, poke him in that soft civilian gut for emphasis!) "One for all and all for one" doesn't mean you can't sometimes kick the crap out of those miserable goons across the street.

This might be easier to grasp if Netscape and Microsoft had football teams.
