Sao Paolo -- I'm afraid it's hemispheres not continents this week, cara. Had to put off New York to romance some research wallys from Peru. Needless to say, couldn't resist the chance to look in on Iris while down here. She seems much steadier than when we last. Has her nicotine jones down to a pack a day, which you might the same. "Mario" may be out of the mix at last, though she's never the one to tell. Watching her run on the beach this morning I somehow forgot her pedigree and began to see me in her instead of you. Something about those uneven strides. Down all these years it's hard to remember where you start and I begin. Will ring Friday late y.t. Love continually, A.
