Without Staples
Home sweet

Wired
At the invitation of Wired magazine, defrosted death-of-print prophet Marshall McLuhan flies to New York for a demonstration of the World Wide Web.

McLuhan's hosts offer a guided tour of various Web wonders, but the well-preserved professor keeps backtracking to the Penthouse site. After downloading a couple of skin shots, McLuhan shakes his head in disgust. "They're not the same without the staples."

He spends the rest of his visit reading the interviews.
