While the main navigation on this site
is through a top menu, it also
has an exploratory map on pictures
of people using their products, similar to Saturn
[60]'s map. In both these cases, the map is not directing people
to the site content, but connecting a pleasing picture with the
product. (The Rainbow Factory [22]
does a similar thing, making an overall connection rather than a
specific anchor-to-content-connection.)
Unlike Ferris Wheels [33],
Sand Loves [38], Samplers
[37], or The Pines at
Walden Pond [39], Garnier Fructis' map does not show an
overall information structure.
The people in the Garnier Fructis map are having fun because they
used a particular hair product, and clicking on the round
dot next to the person will bring up an extended animation with
other anchors for more detail about how to use that product.

Unlike Fuddruckers'
[19] invisible anchors, and like Saturn's anchor markers, each anchor
is shown with a dot. Unlike Saturn, Garnier Fructis' anchors track visited
(yellow) and unvisited (green) nodes.

The anchor strategy here is more complex than a simple map,
as the anchor opens a smaller node in a montage.
This smaller node then provides both content and further text anchors.
Anchors in the smaller node are modest, only a lighter green
("GET THE LOOK") than titles ("MUST HAVE") or information
("THE PERFECT TAN"). These anchors lead to larger screens with
more information.
